On the pretext of looking at people with problems, one may just dismiss it as a shallow psychological mentality that someone is not as optimistic as he should be. However, looking at the hindsight of having problems, be it psychologically or physically, one may find out that problems may not necessarily be that of a meagre issue.
Everyone has problems. Even the person on the streets with the most jovious face has problems. It all depends on how well some handle it, or how well they mask it. A majority of adolescents cannot cope with their problems, although they may not be of serious issues. Some situations range from feeling self-consious to being worried over their studies, and the more serious ones ranging from bad experiences in a relationship to getting left out. Certain people cannot take things in their stride (credits from Darren), being entirely pessimistic and giving a negative viewpoint to everything that happens. This may lead to serious consequences when the person cannot cope with the ballistic amounts of pressure he or she feels.
“Suicide”, the tabloid screams. Why do people even think of ending their lives, ending such a wonderful collection of memorabilia? Looking at life itself, it already seems surreal that such a wonderful thing even exists, that we actually can see what our eyes see, and listen to the melodies that soothe our ears. Letting it all be over in a flash, in a split second where it all turns black hardly seems worth it. This is just one of the examples where the real impact of problems surface. Problems drive people crazy. Problems make people kill themselves. Problems have the power to make someone timid take a knife and slit her own wrist, yet enjoy herself seeing the maroon liquid gush out of her veins.
Of course, there are means to solve such serious problems, including getting help from peers, or in some cases seeking the guidance of a psychiatrist. However, in my point of view, people can cope with such stress easier if only they just look at things in a better light, and strive to learn from their mistakes rather than crying over spilt milk.
