Screw walking in the rain with slippers. Almost fell like 5340598029384 times. Only applies to people who don't shuffle their feet though.

***

The gale blew on, rustling the leaves of the endlessly tall palm trees. Over the horizon, the faint echo of thunder rumbled; the sky darkened as ominous clouds hovered by. Flashes of lightning streaked across the dark sky. The scent of freshly cut grass dispersed. All about, she heard only the rustling of leaves and the tingly breeze reverberating against her eardrums.

Slipping her already cold and pale feet into the pair of worn out shoes, she tied up the laces nimbly and grabbed her purse. Her cold and clammy hand frantically wandered around in the purse for the key she had found. Footsteps shuffling along the corridor, she realised that she had freed herself of that prison that kept her longing for a way out. Yet, all she felt within her was the accelerated heartbeat and that sour feeling of being afraid. She searched her mind for any hint of exhilaration, but to no avail. Adrenaline coursing through her veins, she made her way down the stairs. Each footstep she took with caution, and her heart pounded against her chest. Every tiny sound - even that of a rat scuttling by - caught her attention and caused her heart to skip a beat.

Reaching the ground floor, she scoped around as if she was being preyed upon. Quietly, she stepped onto the sidewalk. Umbrella in one hand and her only possesion - her purse - in the other, she started on her journey to freedom. Wind blowing against the umbrella, she struggled to keep it from being wrenched out of her numb hands. Tiny drops of rain fell onto her thighs and she shivered.

She let her mind wander as she walked, thinking about the past; times when she was treated well and experienced love. Love, what a foreign word. Her mind filled with the remnants of such memories, and drops of warm salty tears streamed down from her tired eyes. Clouded by the obscure thoughts, she unknowingly stepped onto the street where cars whizzed by at lightning pace.

A split second later, she felt the wind rush out of her chest, and the breath of life slipping out of her dry lips. That feeling of emptiness vanished. All she felt was warmth. Her vision grew hazy. Moments later, everything turned black. She was existent no longer. No worries, no nothing...

Hello I'm back. Someone screw Prelims for me won't you? Ahhhhhh depressed..

Anyway, today Mdm Hasni was absent, so we got to leave school at 9.45am..! Went to Ian's house (Omg a super nice house that looks like some palace) where he was still half asleep. Moped around till about 11 plus, &Darren cooked his nice nice nice noodles again! Da Shao Ye refused to let me wash the dishes but I still insisted (: Left for Suntec (Halo 3 convention). Met Chester & went to collect the game. Then then then we ate Gelare...! Half price for waffles + ice cream, yum :D

Ian's Palace

Cabbed back to Darren's house after that, made him stick on the Commie Mustache, played pool (& got owned by Chester), moped around again in his room, had dinner and left, feeling a tad bit emo due to some reasons :/

Darren the Communist!

That about summarises the nice fun&laughter-filled day I had, haha (:

Birthday bash for Dyane & I on Sunday @ Meritus Mandarin Hotel, dinner! Woohoo.

Okay, firstly, isn't Singapore already termed as a Developed Country, not Developing Country? So to be deemed as a Developed Country, doesn't about 85% plus minus of the population have to know how to speak or at least understand how to speak English? In this case, I beg to differ.

The best way to spoil my morning would just be about tipping massive quantities of sugar into my cup of drink. Yes, indeed, that happened. I was all alert and satisfied with my dose of chicken rice this morning, when I decided to get a drink. That irked the hell out of me. Walking up to the stall, I told the person behind the counter,"A cup of Grape italian soda please, with less sugar." She nods in consent, and proceeds to make the soda. When she gets everything ready, she starts pouring the grape flavoured liquid into the inverted cone measuring cup. Once again I reminded her that I wanted less sugar. She gave me a smile, and dumped the entire massive mound of purple liquid into the blender! And I was like @#$%&*@$*&#@*#&&$#*&@$#!

Ok, then I thought, maybe she knew what she was doing. So I took the soda. The first mouthful I took, I almost regurgitated. The horrid sugary sweet liquid whorled around my mouth like cyanide. I went home, diluted it with an equal portion of water and it was still sweet. Imagine, if that is reduced sugar, what would the normal amount of sugar make the drink taste like? Pure 100% sugar? Yuck. Also imagine what such horrendous amounts of sugar would do to your poor Pancreas and Islets of Langerhans..! Realising that, I dumped the entire cup of liquid into the sink. I'd rather waste a meagre $1.50 than kill my pancreas.

Listen people, won't ya just?

Don't you just loooooooove weekends..? Okay i'm gonna freewrite. I'm bored.

Ain't the feeling so fulfilling when you open the door of your home after a long day at school/work, and you inhale that lingering scent of whatever your mom cooked for dinner last night. Walking into your room, you smell that familliar whiff of detergent used to wash your squeaky clean bedsheets, and the only thing your eyes focus upon is that piece of paradise lying in front of you - your bed. The musty aroma of yesterday's air-conditioner impales you and you long to sink onto the soft covers of your bed, falling into deep sleep and dreaming about sandy beaches and a snow covered landscape.

Winter

How nice it'd be if the first thing that catches your eyes in the morning when you wake up, is snow of the purest white falling outside of your window, landing on trees nearby, and accentuating the azure sky with an aptitude of solace. You glance out of the window, and see children of barely 3 feet tall, frolicking playfully in the foot deep snow, some tripping over their little feet, others making snow angels. Stepping out of the door, the chilly atmosphere reaches your nostrils, enveloping your lungs in a fresh gust of cool air. Pulling your scarf securely around your neck, you step out onto the frost. You hear your footsteps. They are like music to the ears, that unforgettable crunch of snow upon your wellingtons, soothing the senses and invigorating the mind. The morning winter breeze blows past, running through your mane of silky hair. Your skin tingles. Everywhere your eyes glance past is covered in snow, from the mailbox of the boy next door, to the grape vineyard opposite. Romance blossoms in the heart of the season, making full use of the enchanting ambience. Christmas is approaching, and boy doesn't anyone dream of having a white christmas?

DIGRESS DIGRESS. Writers' block. I'll continue soon.

Prelims are tmrw omg. I need to mug Chem&SS! No essays for now, catch yawl later and all the best for the damned examinations :/

Ahem ahem, someone's birthday is coming too :D

Alright, since Darren hasn't dedicated a blogpost to me, I shall start by dedicating one to him!
Here it goes;

***

Darren, darren, darren. A friend who is incredibly annoying at times (when he debates with you over silly things e.g. "Why doesn't God heal amputees?!"), yet amazingly charming when you get to know him well (:

Being my dearest AMaths buddy, he never fails to make you smile by either telling you a really stupid lie (which I always stupidly believe), or by giving that cute droopy-eyed smile of his. Although I am tecnically his tutor, he always seems to be the one tutoring me :/ Which I am truly sorry about and also very thankful for his patience in knocking the theory of integration into my dead brain.

His house is one of the most fab hangouts for his mates due to his neverending collection of PC/PS/PS1/PS2/PS3/PSP/XBOX/XBOX360/Nintendo/Nintendo Wii games (you name it, he has it), and not to mention that solid green pool table by his living room. He makes the best egg-drop instant noodles (droooool) which came as a surprise, as he is just a typical adolescent boy who spends hours gaming.

Being the modest boy he is, he claims that his singing sucks, but yet he makes a great duet buddy as he has the most dreamy voice I've ever heard (in real life, not reel life). He does a superb imitation of Luciano Pavarotti's "You Raise Me Up" & I schwear he sings better than Josh Groban ^^ Singing with him is always the nicest thing cause you get to whack and tickle him when he goes out of pitch & he'll never get angry :D The other nice thing about his voice is that he's got this really cute accent that's sorta like a mixed breed of every caucasian race :/ And he does speak it really well!

In class, he sits behind me, so I always find a mirror available! Once in a while you turn round and catch him staring at his own face, moaning about a zit that appeared. Other times, he's lying half-dead on the table, refusing to wake up. And when you try, he gets up all grumpy. His hair aspiration is to have hair like Bano's, nice and spiky. I remember there was this time we tried spiking his hair, and he actually looked nice! Yet he wasn't for it and he went to wash his hair -.-

Darren's knowledge has no boundaries, and he gets alot of information from Wikipedia, which explains his knowledge of things like a girl's friend-zone, or even things like who sang what on High School Musical 2!

They say that "great minds thing alike". The day I wrote that post about friends, I saw his msn nickname. It said,"I feel friendless", just like what my post said. &He hadn't seen the post yet. Well, he's someone you really can confide in, and he even wished me a good morning the next day so that I'd feel better :D

If you get there before I do
Don't give up on me
I'll meet you when my chores are through
I don't know how long I'll be
But I'm not gonna let you down
Darling wait and see
And between now and then till I see you again
I'll be loving you, love me

That's the song playing when you dial his number. Hehe and technically it's also quite true (as debated by Lionel and I, because we always got there before he did, yet never gave up on him, and he only meets us when he's finished with his chores :P)

Throughout these 4 years as his friend, be it during CO or in class, I've known him as a really great buddy who'd stick up for you when you get confronted by teachers, and someone who would always cheer you up. I'd love this post to go on and on but the thing is, there are too many things to write! Well, to Darren (if you're reading this), I've really enjoyed being your friend! And I'll totally miss you and your debates when we graduate :/

***

Yay, there we go :D Now he owes me a dedication ^^

Going back to school for Biology revision, see you people around!

Oh crap I was supposed to be mugging :/
