the greatness of gratitude

Jesus was on His way to Jerusalem when ten lepers approached Him. standing at a distance, as lepers were required to do, they called to Him:"Jesus, have mercy on us!" (Luke 17:13).
when Jesus saw them, He commanded,"Go, show yourselves to the priests." and as they journeyed, they were healed.
onr of them, when he saw that he was healed, came back, threw himself at Jesus' feet, and thanked Him. "Where are the nine?" Jesus asked. good question.
Jesus referred to the grateful man as a Samaritan-an outsider-perhaps to underscore His saying that "the sons of this world are more shrewd...than the sons of light" (16:8). the word translated "shrewd" means "thoughtful". sometimes people of the world have better manners than Jesus' followers do.
in the busyness of life, we may forget to give thanks. someone has done something for us-given a gift, performed a task, delivered a timely sermon, provided a word of counsel or comfort. but we fail to say thanks.
has someone done something for you this week? give that friend a call or send a thankyou note. after all, "Love has good manners" (1 corinthians 13:5).
we thank you Lord for blessings
You give us on our way;
may we for these be grateful,
and praise You every day.

okay. so has my post enlightened you guys? hahah. do not underestimate the power of these 2 words, "thank you" yep! just your way of showing gratitude to whatever has been done for you. anyway, i shall say a big THANK YOU to all my friends out there. what would the world be like without them? hahahaaah.
well, today was kinda slack(: firstly had english in 2rp! yepyep. i miss that classroom. hahah. the table that we drew on with chalk is still there. can see the words faintly. and also the 3 words i carved there. hahahs. saw another table with the JOY <3 SHIANGG there(: aww so sweeeet. brings all the memories of 2rp back): i still miss that class!!! haahahah.
yep and during reccess i think i broke my record of slurping down a bowl of piping hot wanton mee in 2 minutes. and ran all the way up to the 4th floor just to see my teacher standing at the flight of stairs and chit-chatting with the clown. wahahah. aye. then during history the teacher also can't control the class, so after i finish the worksheets i just turn around and talk to the irritating people sitting behind me - alex, sean, darren, edwin (in order of appearance). HAHAH! and act crayzee. then kna whack on head by dunno who. i think sean or alex. for no reason!! then that stupid edwin keep asking me to play scissors paper stone with him coz he knows i will lose =.=" lame lah.
ooo yep last night went to Mediacorp! to support beekwee in campus superstar! hahah she has such a nice voice, but sadly she didn't make it to the next round. nevermind! we will always support her! ((: yeah! and adriano is SO CUTE can??? hahahah. yup then after that went to shiang's house to stay over! wahahaha. play with her comp and hairdryer blahblahblah. and prank calling people at 3am but sadly they didnt wake up! gaah. it was fun anyway. hahaah

we don't need more to be thankful for -
we just need to be more thankful.
